Nexen to offer free energy storage for businesses with an energy policy
- October 9, 2021
TechRadars headline Nexen’s Nexen Energy is now offering a free energy backup plan to its customers.
This is the latest move by Nexen as it tries to become a more energy efficient company.
The company said it would now offer its customers a free backup energy plan, which includes a plan to use energy in the form of renewable energy for up to two weeks.
“This is a very simple and straightforward plan that we can offer to our customers to reduce our costs by about 20%,” said Nexen CEO Tim McQuay.
“This means they can keep their existing electricity costs and still save money and help us meet our customers’ energy demands.”
Nexen also said it was expanding its energy savings program with a $100m investment to create the Nexen Power Savings Plan, which offers a free storage plan for up from 30 days to a maximum of two weeks and a $2,000 rebate for a first 12 months.
The Nexen plans are being rolled out at a small number of Nexen stores and at its headquarters in the US.
