Google: Consumers energy login not working
- September 11, 2021
Google has confirmed that its consumers energy login is not working, despite being the first on the market to include a password option.
Users will need to register for a Google login to access the account, with the login asking for a valid email address.
“Our account login is working as expected, so users should not be impacted,” a Google spokesperson told The Register.
“Unfortunately, we have not been able to confirm whether or not consumers can access their account via the login.”
Users will also need to log in with their Google credentials.
Users could also try logging in to the account using their existing Google login, but that may not work as users can not be logged in to their account if they have been using Google in the past.
“We are continuing to monitor the situation and will update you if we hear anything more from Google,” the spokesperson added.
The Google spokesperson said the login had been in testing for a few months, but there was a “significant issue” that had been identified by the company.
Google has also issued a warning to users on the web about the problem.
“If you are experiencing this issue, please check your email inbox for an email from Google confirming that your account is not currently working properly,” the statement read.
“Users who have already registered for an account may need to re-register to access their credentials.”
For those who have not registered yet, please be sure to log back in to your account using your Google credentials to access your account.
